A colloid mill is well suited to bitumen-polymer grout production because it can disperse polymer modifiers and fillers evenly throughout heated bitumen, breaking down clumps that would otherwise create weak points or inconsistent performance in the cured grout. The high shear also helps improve compatibility between the bitumen and polymer phases, resulting in a more homogeneous mixture with better mechanical properties.
