What is a colloid mill? It is a specialized size-reduction and emulsification device consisting of a rotor spinning at high speed against a fixed stator, with an adjustable narrow gap between them. Unlike a regular blender that mainly agitates material, a colloid mill applies intense localized shear forces that mechanically tear apart particles and droplets, achieving much finer, more uniform dispersions suitable for emulsions, creams, and suspensions.
